Aircooled Ventilation- too much fresh air!!
On my Aircooled van there's a hurricane of fresh air (most noticeable from the windscreen vents) when driving along. The direction control doesn't seem to alter this much and the fresh air control doesn't make any difference. Through the ashtray hole I can see that the cables are connected, and I ...

1.9 Alternator bracket bolt size?
Basic question, what size are the bolts that hold the alternator bracket to the engine casing? The bracket with two bolts, not the long arm part.

Re: Rounded and seized wheel nut options.
Agreed. "Professional" tire fitters these days amount to spotty 16 year olds with blow torches.
I wasn't about to leave my pride and joy with them until I'd sought further advice!
I'm don't what to think what methods they'd try if I left it in their hands....

Rounded and seized wheel nut options.
Nightmare.
I took my van to get some new tires and the tire fitting place couldn't get one of the nuts off. They rounded the nut a little bit and then I tried and rounded it a little bit more. I'm still getting some grip on it, but what are my options???

Window winder question
Spurious question:
Which window winders will give me the biggest gap between the door card and the end of the handle?
I need to clear some little flush fitting tweeters that sit within the radius that the arm moves through.- my current handles just scrape them a tiny bit.

Re: ipod amp - options?
I have a similar setup to this- I got a lovely old sony amp from ebay for around £40 that fits just nicely under the front passenger seat. I just plug pod right into that and use the volume on the ipod. Amps will have a volume control on them that you can set down a bit so it doesn't blow your head ...
