Another Oil Pressure Light Question
Hi Guys, Sorry but I need some help please. I've searched the Wiki, read other articles and tried to refrain from posting yet another oil pressure light related question but to no avail - I need some help please. Long and the short - I'm prepping my bus for it's MOT after it's habitual hibernation o...

Re: Buzzer of doom and oil warning light flashing coming on
I had a similar experience last year - although our bus (Chirpy) is a 1.9DG and not a JX TD. Was running fine down the A303 when suddenly the dash lit up, BOD scared the bejesus out of me and I immediately looked out of the rear window expecting to see great plumes of smoke and pools of oil in the r...

Re: Where to get my new exhaust ?
Interesting thread thank you. I'm also in for a new exhaust for my late (1990) DG equipped bus. Would like to go stainless for obvious reasons but what's really stumping me is whether or not I can fit an early system completely instead of the late ones. I have no lambda sensor and disconnected the c...

Re: Newbie - Needs Help - Flattened Leisure Battery
I won't be so bold as to say it hasn't ever had any DIY 'patch ups' done but yes, it is a Factory Westfalia and it looks to be intact (although curiously, I cannot seem to find the aux battery charger that I read should be somewhere under the rock and roll bed???) I'm thinking that a trip to the loc...

Re: Newbie - Needs Help - Flattened Leisure Battery
Good idea - thank you.
Will try to beg/borrow or steal one tomorrow.
Any ideas on how to unplug the 12v side of the fridge so that I can isolate that load from the system?

Re: Newbie - Needs Help - Flattened Leisure Battery
I guess I'm not sure TBH and the fridge is the one item I thought would cause such a drain but all 3 switches on the front of the fridge (it's an RM184) are in the off position and it's definitely not getting cold (but that's another story). I did wonder if it is possible for the fridge 12v element ...

Newbie - Needs Help - Flattened Leisure Battery
Hi All, I hope I'm posting this in the right area - it's the first time so forgive me if not. Just bought my first camper - a 1990 Westie California and I'm hoping to take the family camping this weekend (brrr!!) When I bought it, I had the split charge relay changed cos it pulled the main ba...
