I believe a common cure is to check/replace/tighten and clean up, the positive feed to the motor. It's a long run from the battery.

I changed mine 'cos it started peeing out oil from the fins on the oil cooler itself. It's a standard part on a 2l. Dials can be added but they just give you more things to worry/get paranoid about.

Hi - it's a bitch to do, but can be done. Removing fan housing,alternator and associated tinware is the hard bit. Take note of which way round the seals go, and don't overtighten. One of the first jobs I had to do on my bus. Good luck.

If the system is in tip top condition with no leaks you get loadsa heat up front. Most likely leaking places are the control pods and the elbows that they sit on. Air here is verry hot, but fibreglass filler can cope. ( Elbows are blinking expensive for what they are - filler is cheap). Don't run my...

Hey ho, first post on here and it's a thanks. Got my bus back from MOT and she had identical symptoms. Took drum off, cleaned up a bit. Put back on and problem is gone. (Wasn't there before handbrake adjust for MOT).
Must have been sitting slightly askew.
