Re: Stud length Merc 17 inch
Ok just incase anyone else is daft enough to put 17" 8j  merc alloys on. I put 60mm stud conversion on front and rear. 10mm spacers up front, 12mm on the rear. Had to grind the lip off edge of the upper front wishbones. Speedo matches the sat nav so now accurate. The front tyres are just...

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Rollering is the way to go :ok Did lots of prep and repair 18 months ago. Put my first coat on then had season camping. Put my second coat on last weekend. As I only had one coat, on some rust was beginning to creep back on the gutters, but nothing significant. So if you are lazy like me there is no...

Re: Automatics - should they pull off instantly
ATF strainer is in the bottom of the gearbox. You need to disconnect the auto fluid dipstick tube and take the sump plate off the gearbox. You will need a new gasket as well as a filter, and 5-6 litres of ATF. Make sure you clean thoroughly around the bottom of the gearbox before removing the sump p...

Please, Can anyone out there tell me what length of extended studs work with 17" 7.5j Merc' alloys? Will be putting 6mm spacers on the front. The wheels are OZ, possibly AMG.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Window Tinting
Anyone with tinted rear windows had any issues with the suckers on thermal blinds pulling the film off? I have the film ready to do our van but we use theJK thermal blinds with suckers attaching them to the inside of the windows, when we camp. my gut feeling is the suckers will pull the film off whe...

New Windscreen Help Please
I need to buy a new windscreen. Any advice where to go and where not to go around the North West would be much appreciated.
I am looking at avoiding the big players as I am guessing they will be extortionate and will be calling a few independants.
Thanks

Tried all of the big 3 but have I have stuck with the RAC for the past few years due to multiple vehices etc. My Wife and I have had them out 3 or 4 times in the past couple of years (for the VOLVO, not the VW), and they have been quick and efficient when they get to you. Love how they prioritise fo...
