Re: Adventure Overland - roll call

Thanks for letting me in amongst the Syncros...

Is it obvious where you lot will be when I get on site later today? As said above, can I just turn up and pay and come drive around till I find you?

Anyone meeting close to the show to get in as a group? I'm a total show newbie, sorry....

David.

Can also bring the big paella ring and cook up some risotto if anyone's up for that? E D I T: can also do Thai green chicken curry in large number. I'll be le...

Re: Adventure Overland - roll call

Any room for one more for Friday night camping? Sold the syncro last year so would be coming in the 4x4 LT.

Always wanted to go to this show but don't fancy camping on my jacks :(

Re: Getting there!

Your a more patient person than most Lloyd. If I'd paid that sort of money to have van sprayed and rust taken care of, I'd be livid right now. I'm not the "take legal action" type of guy but I'm pretty sure I would go down that route if I was you. Its question of 1) not having the mickey taken of yo...

Re: Completing V55/5 Help!

Sorry, I misread...didnt see was registered in Ireland. That said DVLA didnt care that I had build date on other documents, they wanted it to come from the manufacturer. VW then sent me this and all was fine. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/27791090/VW%20Type%20Approval%20Letter%20APril%202016.p...

Re: Completing V55/5 Help!

If you have the original German registration paperwork (part 1 & 2), then you won't need a CoC as these mention the production date of your van. If you don't have original registration paperwork (both parts) then you'll need to contact VW commercial and ask them for a COC based on your VIN/chassis n...

Re: Why fight it...it's only work..

I fitted new stainless steel tank straps and 2x seat belt mounts without taking the tank out. It's possible with patience and some form of hand protection.

Re: Help to find a good syncro

Shameless plug I know but good timing...due to me buying the LT 4x4 I'm going to be (relunctantly) selling my Syncro as I dont have room for both. This was a labour of love and I have already come to grips with the fact that I've spent more money than I'll get back... Its a RHD, 14" with twin slidin...

Re: Ideas for rear wheel carrier

I bought swing away type one from Bernd Jäger and 5 years on, no panel damage, still lines up well with the receiver and was around £250. I'll be buying another two to adapt to the LT 4x4 in the next few weeks. I was previous owner of one Slippy8v has in the photo and that was a great carrier. Fitte...

Re: Project Roofrack

Great idea this! Looked for ages for something suited to my needs but couldn't find one in the end. In an ideal world my requirements would be: - flat (no sides) on one side so I fit my roof tent (don't want to butcher my van by adding a pop top). Ideally to open towards the front of the van. - ligh...
