Re: Speedo unit mounting screws

I just drilled new holes near to where the lugs were and secured with self tapping screws. Simple!

Yes, do it! I have the j rail for the same reason and the Khyam is so easy to erect, even without anyone's help!

Re: good stop over enroute to Bordeaux

Jed you are a star. That first website was ideal....it showed an Aire Municipale at the town I mentioned.

Thanks very much for that.

Re: good stop over enroute to Bordeaux

Thanks Jed, but it's a bit of a detour........I'll be on the A83 not the D84.

I'll buy the book!

good stop over enroute to Bordeaux

Hi. Can anyone suggest a good place to stay for a night somewhere between St Malo & Bordeaux? I think the rough halfway point is around Fontenay-le-comte just off the A83.
Many thanks for any useful suggestions.

Re: Lyme Regis.....

Hook farm is a great site. We stayed there last year & thought it one of the best sites we've been to. It's small, only tents & campers, good loos/showers & shop. The site is terraced but with flat grassy pitches with most having good views. The walk into Lyme Regis is through field, woo...

Quote AA: vehicle recovery to the UK if it can't be repaired abroad, up to the current market value of the vehicle.

May not be any better after all!

Re: 2011 ferry discounts ??

Ok fellas, it's interesting to read all your comments regarding varying prices & routes & I hope all of you find the bargains you're looking for, but I've decided that as I live just 20 minutes away from Portsmouth it would be daft not to use the route. Convenience is King in my opinion alth...

Re: 2011 ferry discounts ??

Thanks for that advice, it does work out cheaper at £296.00 but we're 2.5 hrs drive to Newhaven & only 20mins to Portsmouth. I also have to consider the convenience of arriving in France at 8 in the morning if we sail from Portsmouth the previous evening. We would get a good days driving in &am...

Re: Will a R&R bed fit into an Autosleeper?

I thought so too Kev. It wouldn't be worth losing that bit of floor space & the cupboard. The guys at Autosleeper seemed to know what they we're doing when it came to styling, space & ease of use. I still think it one of the best conversions.

Re: Will a R&R bed fit into an Autosleeper?

It's not bad Kev but doesn't compare with a R&R bed so I would replace it if it was possible. My only reservation with this though is that I think an R&R bed requires a little more space underneath, & would mean it would sit a bit further forward which then obstructs access to a cupboard...
