Hello again all, and thanks for the response.
Can anybody please tell me the size of the thread on the stub axle, or failing that the socket size for the nut? I'm considering trying a die nut of the same size or one size down.
Thanks.

Re: Offside stub axle
As far as I am aware the fail was due to (amongst other things) the wheel bearing being worn. The problem with the stub thread has,I assume, arose following the bearings replacement. Anyway, I'm going to the garage tomorrow to get the full story. The reason I chose to use this particular test station...

Re: Offside stub axle
Thanks for that. One last thing, the spares source is local to me but my van is at the MOT garage 40 miles away so I won't be able to immediately compare the setup, what should I be looking for?

Offside stub axle
Hello All My 1985 1.9 wbx has just failed its MOT on a worn offside front stub axle, apparantly its thread has worn to an extent that the axle nut cannot be fully tightened. My question is will a replacement from any year/model of van be suitable, or if not can others be modified to fit? I may be ab...

Re: Non Starting Engine
Many thanks for the response, one new filter to go in by the tank, remainder can come out and be kept as spares. New Goodyear hose all round to go on as well (when it stops raining).
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Re: Non Starting Engine
Hi I have a 1983 petrol, owned since December last year. Just want to clarify what Em said above about there only being one filter in the fuel line - mine has two additional filters either side of the pump, fitted by the previous owner. Any opinions as to whether I should revert to the one single at...

Re: Awnings.........Again.......
We've just got a pop up gazebo with sides..... just as an alternative if we're only going for a night and dont need the full awning. packs away into a metre long bag and you can then choose whether to use the sides or not. :) For us its a stop gap until we can afford a fiamma f45! Hi. Been t...

Re: Gearstick
Many thanks.
Sorry about the incorrect description,I am new to this game and thought that "Transporter" was a generic name. The van is a Holdsworth pop top conversion with solid sides.
Again, thanks for your help.

Gearstick
Hello.
Could anyone advise whether a lhd gearstick can be used to replace a snapped rhd stick on a 1995 1.9 5 speed petrol transporter, and if so are there any disadvantages?
All help gratefully received.
Thanks
Eamon
