Service Mechanic in Northern Ireland
HI guys Can someone point me in the direction of a Mechanic who can service my camper before going for MOT? The van has been in hibernation over winter, she has started up well and running great, but would like her to have a once over. Im based in Lisburn...but can take her anywhere, within reason. ...

Re: Pillaton Hall Farm...Staffordshire
The owner guy was telling us that this was very unusual in that it was so quiet...but like i said, this was a Monday evening. Theres a shop there with a chinese take-away (IIRC) but definitely had a "chippy" too.

Pillaton Hall Farm...Staffordshire
We recently went to the Glastonbury Festival in the van and driving from Belfast meant we would need an overnight stay on the way down. My wife found Pillaton Hall Farm / Pillaton Pools by searching for Campsites a short distance from the M6 en route through England. I felt i should post a thread to...

Re: Hitting the Starter Motor...
Hey...have only just logged back in.
Thats an excellent thread, and really helpful for a novice like myself. I'll have the laptop beside the van....as well as £100 odd quid set aside when i inevitably resort to getting a new/refurbished starter

Hitting the Starter Motor...
On a recent trip i had a problem starting the van, and with some very friendly advice from a random Bay owner, i was advised that in this instance i could hit the Start Motor a couple of times with a hammer, then tap the solenoid whilst someone else turns the ignition. Ive had to do this a few times...

Re: Sliding door hard to close
Hope you dont mind me reviving this... On my van, the large pin keeps moving and falling off...thus meaning the door wont close. The pin goes through a "washer" then screws into a plate, but the plate moves freely...is this right? As when i try and screw into the plate, it keeps moving and...

Re: How often do you turn the engine over?
Oh I'm sure there's not much I can do if there's mud.
Just wasn't sure if I needed to keep turning the engine over in order to ensure it starts when I need it to

How often do you turn the engine over?
We're at Glastonbury for a week and I'm wondering if I should start the engine periodically.
I use the van everyday for short journeys, I'm just wary of getting stuck.
Any advice would be appreciated.
