Cab door felts

Evening I have just replaced the felts and scrapers on one of my cab doors and the window is tight as hell to close now. I expected it to be a better fit as the old ones were perished and hardened, but not this tight. Trying to work out if I have made a glaring error but I replaced them like for lik...

Single weber carb problem

Hi I've just put a new head on one side of a 2.0 CU engine. It started first time. I had the air filter off while it was started. one chamber was spitting fuel out whilst running. When the engine was shut down I operated the throttle arm while looking in and fuel was being pushed in on the side that...

Re: Front Bench seat advice

Hi I got a bench seat fitted a month ago. Uses the securing point inside the battery box for securing seatbelt stalks and lap belt is secured on the same post as drivers stalk. As for a bar across the van, I had thick steel brackets made up for the hinged part of the bench seat so a bar is not requi...

Re: Welding repairs??

Do I then apply a primer filler on the filler and then topcoat? Or is it red oxide then topcoat?
Sorry about the basic questions, just want it to lastm
Thanks

Welding repairs??

Hi After rubbing back some bubbling on the bodywork (all over the place!!) I've discovered that the body had lots of rusty holes filled and painted over. I now plan to cut out the old rusty bits and repair it properly. Not being an expert I wanted to know the best way to do this. I;ve looked at load...

Re: Double front seat

Thanks for that.
Do you mean a plate under the runners extending out for the extra seat? I looked at old threads and it mentioned a support bracket beside the handbrake. Does the plate do away with the need for that? And what thickness plate did you go for?
Sorry for all the questions.

Double front seat

Hi I was wondering if i anyone could give me some advice on a double front seat. At the mo I have an '81 A/C walkthrough, but I have another nipper on the way so will need an extra seat and I thought the double seat in the front made the most sense. I would like to know if I need to put a full lengt...

Re: propex

Hi I have now purchased a propex and a V2 kit from gasure. Just wondering which way to point the air inlet? Diagram shows it facing directly forward of the van but was wondering if this would blow it out/stop it working? P.S. Any one fitted a v2 kit before? Seems to suggest that the controlable vent...
