I e just purchased a second hand gearbox whilst mine is being rebuilt, but when I try and adjust the linkage, I can't get all the gears,when I tweak it from having 1st and wed, I can't get 3rd,when I adjust it the other way I get 1st lose 2nd and get 3rd and 4th, any ideas? Manged to get my Aircooled running, went fie a spin round the block and it judders really bad in first and second gear ,i had to set off in 3rd ,any ideas ?

Sorted it thanks ? It was muck in the tank caused by the filler neck ribber being damaged by the weather and muck from the front wheel and was getting in the tank , cleaned it out and is ok

i think i might have sorted it as i used a can of fuel instead of the petrol tank and the original pump that i put back on was nice and quiet , so i blew into the tank thru the hose to clear any blockage and reconnected the hose to the pump and it ran nice and smooth and quite for about 4 miles befo...

hello , its just a universal inline fuel pump mounted on the chassis 12" after the tank just in front of the filter , it doesnt seem to matter how much fuel is in there , even the new pump i have fitted is making the same whining noise

yes i bought it all from a dealer who said it was a set , i will check with my vagcom to see what it can find , would it fire up if it was an immobilizer issue ? ,

hello , brickwerks fitted the wiring and it worked before then the auto electrician fitted the diagnostic plug , but it doesnt seem to work anymore , vw parts international fitted the socket , not sure how they did it sorry , the chip only fits one way as it has a corner missing

hello , yes i have a spigot bearing fitted , i split the gearbox from the engine today , it looks like the oil might be coming from the engine as it looked to be behind the plate that sits behind the flywheel , the bell housing was oily but nothing runny , so i will have to keep an eye on it
