i had the exact same problem , the aa man told me i needed a new air mass metre !!
upon inspection by a proper mechanic it was found to be the temp sensor on the thermostat housing , so i would definatly try changing that !

i think the best way to try is to literally swap one over from a good van
im going to big bang tomorrow so hopefully if i get there some one might be willing to do me a favour and let me try theirs !!!

hi there , ive been having the same problem with mine , mine is a 2.1 dj ... same problems as you , not starting when hot
i just had the aa come and look at it , he said it was the air mass meter so just trying to source one now !!

i do indeed , i had to do a major repair around the bottom of rear side window
new tailgate and new side door apart from that its now pretty solid
will post some more pics up when it comes out of paint

that looks v nice , i take it it has been resprayed recently ?
as it looks alot more shiny than mine , mind you saying that when i took off the front bumper when stripping down for paint
i couldnt believe how clean and shiny it came up after a wipe !

bit late but i posted a couple of pics for you in general chat just checked out your pics , very nice indeed !! you must be over the moon !! mine went into paintshop last thursday and i went for ford diamond white in the end , hopefully will come out nice like yours !! will try and get some pics up...

you have to extend your hinge and shorten the track , ive just had to do it twice as ive got a twin slider !!
i just used a spare hinge and cut a section out then welded back in !
if you look on brickwerks there is a step by step guide how to do it !
