Re: Early stainless steel exhaust from JK
@lennsuey, the VW speedshop one is great, works well, looks good and is a well designed system (all headers same length etc) but it is a bit noisier than most. Not "boy racer" loud, but might be better suited to a "cool surf bus" rather than a fully "campered" high top...

Re: Early stainless steel exhaust from JK
Sorry for jumping in on this thread but i'm looking at the same thing! Need to replace the whole exhaust on my 1990 1.9 petrol, it has just had a TES recon engine fitted. Not sure whether to go for the Just Kampers Stainless steel one or the VW Speed shop alternative which is almost £100 cheaper! An...

Re: How much would you pay for.......
Well we went for Vinyl covers in the end, as we have young kids and it's far more practical than leather (which would be wrecked!) £725 for the completed job, for the south east of England that seems about right after shopping around! What do we think? [img] [IMG]http://i650.photobucket.com/albums/u...

Re: How much would you pay for.......
To get the entire interior done on my rusty westfalia cost me £1100 cash. I'm quite glad the misses talked me out of a Transformers Autobot symbol in the head rest and have a trusty VW log instead... http://i1299.photobucket.com/albums/ag80/ClubJoker/IMG-20120911-00210_zps6142cf62.jpg http://i1299....

Re: How much would you pay for.......
That's a good point. They will take off old covers which are original, and reupholster so more work involved I guess.
Planning on vinyl covers with coloured stitching and piping. Should look the bizz though!
We are in the south east too where everything seems to be a bit more expensive!

How much would you pay for.......
Hi
Can anyone advise me as to what I should expect to pay for a set of vinyl seat covers to be made for my van?
It would be for two front cab seats, and a 3/4 rock and roll style bed (autosleeper conversion)
Many thanks people

Hi Sue, with regards to your seats, you could try giving Cass Brothers in Bromley a call (0208 462 2387) they've been trading for 50 years. Also Ben (Batmangb) is in the process of getting bodywork repairs and a bare metal respray from a company called TD coachworks in Orpington: https://club8090.c...

Re: Body repairs and upholstery - Kent
Oh deary me, I really do need my seats recovered now as I've discovered they are wet and have started to go mouldy
Someone must be able to recommend a local company to recover them? Not sure how they do the front seats, do they take them out for me or do I have to do it and send them off?

Re: Help! Water inside the van!
I've just taken out all three bits of foam that make up the rear seat/bed, and discovered they are all wet on one side :( I have a very nasty feeling that it is something to do with when we had a rear 3point belt fitted in the back on the passenger side. The company that did it, which were recommend...

Help! Water inside the van!
We have a wet carpet in the main part of the van, and just discovered this morning that there is also water getting into the compartment underneath the rear seat
Does anyone know what this could be, or has had a similar problem?
Thanks!
