Compression v Timing
Hi all, My knowledge of engines is very limited, so again, I seek some proper advice please! My 1.9 watercooled engine had a bad crank oil seal leak and required the exhaust helicoiling. So, she went into the garage, had the engine out, seals replaced etc. When I picked her up she had a distinct los...

Re: Help dam brake light on after caliper change
I've just had my camper's back wheel bearing changed and it came back with the brake warning light on. Unplugged it from behind the switch as mentioned above 'et voila!' sorted. This forum is fantasic!

Re: Crank oil seal- New engine?
Phew! Thank goodness! Thanks for the advice. Probably a really stupid question but could you give me an idea where I'll find the sump breather pipe please? Obviously that is the first thing to have a look at (if I knew what I was looking for!) and go from there.

Crank oil seal- New engine?
Hi everyone. I need a bit of advice please. My 1.9 watercooled petrol engine (running on LPG) has developed a really bad oil leak. I have been told by someone who knows better than me that the oil is coming from the crank oil seal which is bad news. What should I do now? Is it an engine out job? Sho...

Re: 69 litres of LPG in a 60 litre tank???
Sorry for the long wait, but to be honest, I'm a bit embarrased that I ended up just letting the matter go and not using the petrol station again. I contacted trading standards who were very negative and fairly unhelpful. The 'gas man' phoned me and was very patronising calling me 'darling' and 'lov...

Lee had problems with it a few weeks ago when it was filling really slowly and stopped at around £13 when our tank had been completely empty to start with. Have you used it?

I've just been on the phone to Stako the manufacturer of the tank and the UK concessionaire for these and both are more than willing to back up my statements and would also be willing to give statements for any legal action you may want to take on this matter, get it into your head that it is a phy...

I haven't filled up anywhere since as I want to see how many miles I get from this tank. Is there any truth in the 'safety flap' theory? I understand now that the tank will definitely not explode, but is there any chance the tank could fill to the full 60 litre capacity if faulty? I know it still do...

Well, I went back to the garage and was suitably fobbed off. The LPG man is going to have a look at the pump and give me a call. Apparently the garage is just an agent for the LPG and have no control or responsibility for the pump, so I will wait for the call. What concerned me was the manager menti...

69 litres of LPG in a 60 litre tank???
Hi all, Does anyone know if it is possible to put 69+ litres of LPG in a 60 litre tank? Stupid question I know, but I filled up on Friday, normally costing around £32, but stopped filling when I had spent £40!!! The pump would have kept going, and it didn't feel anywhere near like it was slowing dow...

Re: wardrobe thing
Now howcome in my '85 Autosleeper solid sided pop top, the wardrobe thing was on the passenger side? Most people seem to have theirs on the the drivers side. Not that I have a complex about it but I took it out to make for a bigger sleeping area. It depends on the conversion I think. mine had the w...
