Re: Complete restoration
I'm in Wiltshire. The van is getting a little surface rust, I think the underside will be ok to seal/repaint. Interior is not too bad. Engine runs fine, got a few problems with oil buzzer but nothing particularly wrong with it. I suppose what I'm looking for is to make the vehicle more practical and...

Complete restoration
I was wondering if you had any recommendations for someone to restore my Westfalia. I would like someone who can basically fix everything from structure, body, engine and interior. Possibly replace the engine for something more economical to run too. It's a 2.0 1989 automatic and it runs quite as it...

Re: PCB for my 1989 T25
I've had 3 mechanics look at this now, and they all said I need to replace the PCB. One of them said I should replace the whole assembly (I guess he meant the rev counter, speedo and warning lights). One of them does a lot of work on VWs and managed to get the buzzer to go off for a about 100 miles,...

Re: PCB for my 1989 T25
Hi all. Thank you for taking the time, I really appreciate it, I wish I understood what you're talking about, but my mechanical knowledge is pretty much zero! I just spoke to my mechanic, basically they don't like to mess with the electrics by hard wiring, etc., as this infringes with safety standar...

PCB for my 1989 T25
Hi there I need to replace the printed circuit board on my 1989 T25 (DG K chassis). My van has a rev counter. My mechanic has not been able to locate a new replacement and has given me the part number (251919059K) to have a go at finding one. I have come across a posting from another member, and thr...

Re: 1989, circuit board replacement
It seems to kick in as soon as I hit 2000 rpm. Could this be a clue?

1989, circuit board replacement
I've had a problem with the oil buzzer going off at random. Changed sensor and other stuff but it doesn't work. The only thing left, which is the first thing my mechanic wanted to do(!), is to change the circuit board. Unfortunately VW has stopped making these. Can a new one be made from scratch or ...
