Thanks that seems to be the only name that comes up and the one everyone trusts. I am only worried because there has been a family bereavement and I don't know about time frames.
Thanks for the confirming the name.

Gear Box Recon, who to use
My diesel 5spd box needs a recon, do you know anyone good that will do it for a reasonable price and a reasonable time frame?

Re: Engine slows down and stops
Think you have read my mind I was planning tomorrow as diesel filter change day and see what happens. Will crack the water drain tonight and see what happens.
Thanks for the reply, it is an odd thing, but there are a few of those on the camper.

4spd or 5spd gear linkage
I have an 1.9 4cylinder diesel in my 1988 camper.
My friend has a golf engine in his camper and it is 5 speed but between the driver and passenger space he has a built up tunnel compared to my camper.
The main question is there a difference between a 4spd gear linkage and a 5spd gear linkage?

Ok it was an experiment but I have fitted idicators and side lights. I wired them in paralel when I use the hazard lights they flash on and off fine. When I use the indicator they flash very fast as if I have a bulb out, but I don't. Is it a case of changing the relay to the same amperage as the haz...

Re: Help overheating!!
Thanks for that thought, have checked for leaks haven't found any, but since all the pipes get hot would that mean that a block is probably not on the cards either?
If it is electrical then that is a bit of a black art to me.

I have an E reg T25 with a more modern 1.9 diesel engine in it. I think it is out of a caddy. After only a few miles my temperature gauge goes right over to the right and the light comes on. Things that I have done: Checked the engine for signs of moisure in with the oil (None) Checked the header ta...
