I didnt have any issues plugging the loom in , I also have the front extension that plugs into Richards speed sensor . It all worked from day one.

Nick Tune is the guy to contact regarding sourcing a Subaru engine, he will also modify the loom for you.. I paid £750 for my 2.5 quad cam ( chocolate engine ;) !! ) from him 18 months ago. It arrived on a crate, along with the loom ( I didn't have the time, inclination or space to strip a donor car...

If you are handy with the spanners and dont mind a bit of work, it is fairly easy to do the conversion on a drive using axle stands and a hoist , I did mine last Summer ... and am very very pleased with it . Justin, I have had very similar issues in the past that where caused by bad connections on the back of the dash , may be worth removing the binnacle and having a wiggle of the main connection block ... where it makes contact with the ribbon cable. Also check the earth crowns.. they can result in lot...

evening guys... Mojoh great explanation. I had already checked the balance pipe across the top of the tank, you can just about see it if you drop the spare wheel holder and lay inside where the wheel was , I held my phone up under and took a short video , all was okay . Halfords are giving away a free set of 8 screwdrivers ( pro range ,usually £15 ) with any 5 litres of their own brand oil... I just bought 5 litres of 15/40 mineral for £19.99 . :ok If its the so called pro screwdriver sets with the yellow and red tops? were always breaking the philips head ones at...
