I used an M8 threaded rod with assorted washers,nuts and a small steel bar with a 10mm hole in it to gently brace against the casing.

Simples :wink:

Hi, Watery oil solved,the out come is that after every oil change during the last 2 weeks there has been a problem with the van.Firstly was the 2.1DJ engine going ti** up at the Pickering meet;and this week the 1.9DG going nearly the same :roll: .Ian has checked everything including the petrol pump ...

Hi,

I presume you mean the oil (not the husband)! It is 20w/50 Forrmula 1 motor oil.

Ian, how old is yours? I agree these look like a long term solution as well as being a true tuned exhaust should improve 2500+ rpm performance. What kind of guarantee do they have? Pop round the tyre spots on a Sat. morning,NOT $hitfit or the big chains,look for a grotty little tyre garage. 10-1 there's just some disgruntled kid on the week-end losers shift,just ask nicely and imply there'll be a tenner in it for him and it's cash and see how cheap ...
