Sorry, forgot to update this post.
I did as suggested by greasing every movable part and it did help.
But the bleeding of the clutch master cylinder did the job, gear change is
a lot better, and no crunching at all.
Thanks to you all.
Jim.

Re: Engine oil flush.
Superb, thanks for the advice, I see the point about the flushing may just cause some bother, so its a good run followed with an oil change with mineral oil and new filter.
Thanks to you all.

Engine oil flush.
What is the general feeling about doing an oil flush in my old T25. Its a petrol 1986 4 speed high top, done 84.000 miles. I have a noisy tappet, and its going for its MOT very soon. Its not used daily, in fact its been covered for the winter. Is it a good thing to flush an old engine or not, and sh...

Re: To flush or not to flush ?
Ok lads and lassies, I have a 1986 petrol water cooled T25 high top. Engine has done 84.000 miles and I have a noise like a tappet sound from the offside of the engine. I have been reading some of the talk on engine flushes in this forum, and I am not sure if I should go for a flush or not. The nois...

Tight first and second gears, in my T25
Strange problem - My 1986 T25 goes throught he gears (4 speed petrol) no problem, until it has been running about for a while. After this, first and second gears are sometimes hard to get into, more so first. Have not got around to looking at it, as just back from Dunkeld in Perthshire in it, so loo...

Re: Insulation
I insulated my T25 this winter, I used glass wool in the cavities, with the wool being inside sealed plastic bags. I then used the silver coated bubble wrap on the back of the boards, then re-fitted boards. Where there was no boards (behind sink etc, I glued the bubble wrap directly onto the walls. ...

Re: T25 heating
Hey I know this may sound a it mad, but having read the posts on here, it got me thinking. How about using candles inside an open ended box lined on the inside with aluminuim foil/ sheet . Hopefully this will reflect the heat of the candles, if a couple of boxes were made then it may well provide a...

Can anyone tell me - is there realy adifference between an ordinary van battery and a "leisure battery"?
I thought a lead acid battery was just a lead acid battery?
