Re: 1.7 ky diesel engine
My 89" is a 1.7 KY Diesel. Love it! Seems to manage a much higher speed when theres tonnes of gear in the back ha. Knackered Starter Motor and no 4th in my gearbox is a big hassle but thats soon to change hopefully when I manage to find the money. Pulls very well, I love the originality of it t...

Maybe was something restricting, jamming, confuscating the change mechanism somewhere, somehow ?

Re: 3rd Gear does not want to move!????
After giving it another good run (the same run where the i started to notice the problems), it has seemed to fix itself like most things on my van. There is only a fragment of play sometimes from 3rd to 4th but very unnoticeable and tbh it might be just me thinking its still there. Thanks for all th...

3rd Gear does not want to move!????
Hi, I have a 1.7 diesel, 4 speed box. Only today have i been having problems with a short run to my mates house and back. The van would go into all the gears fine, then when i put it into 3rd it would get stuck to the point where im scared to force it into any other gear and result in it snapping. I...

Re: No temp gauge

Since i had the van it never worked. It was only yesterday it overheated. The water tanks were both dry because of a bad...

Re: Rough one....
Thanks for the info, I will get that sorted for next week before oktoberfest @ Mike. Believe it or not its £1344 as a 1st, third party, fire, theft from Adrian Flux (Motorhome) on my OWN Policy. Now they wont insure on a parents policy with an additional driver as they want to make the most money bu...

Spotlights have been on there since 2007 and have no problems. They are never on so out of the circuit completely.

Re: Rough one....
Hi sorry for any confusion. Replaced the burnt out switch with the new one . The Dim setting on the headlight switch just turns the lights on 'dimly' and then the next click on to main beam (then with the indicator arm pressed up full beam). The spotlights work off another switch which can be turned...

Re: Rough one....
I just said at the garage I need a switch. It comes to about £22.50 then VAT which is up to like £28-29.80 in total. I find the dim switch better as Im used to the dash setup now. Id rather just pay the bit extra. Also the dim acts as a setting for the spotlights too. With the dim on, i can have the...

I pulled over into the hard shoulder just in front of a cop.... Just my luck, no queries just protocol for me to rectify the problem or he can call for as...

Re: Cribbs Causeway overnight parking?
If it's of any use to you, we have stopped at Sedgemoor services a few times...free of charge. The services are about 30 minutes from Cribbs south on the M5. Just close the curtains and play dead if the car park guy comes round. He won't usually bother you in the car park, they are only usually inte...
