I have a sickly CT with low compression and leaks from I think behind the pulley so going to need looking at. Small amount of end float but not....crazy! That I can tell anyway lol. So looking at options if my 1600ct isn't cost effective to fix. Does anyone know of a type3 1600 would easily bolt in....

They will be 'clacky' if the engine /van has been sat a while or the oil level is low, and genrally a lille noisy in operation anyway.

I was advised by a garage I trust 99.99% (T Wilson in Chesterfield) NEVER to try adjusting them. They are self adjusting and fiddling will just cause problems.

You could get a HPLV from Argos. (get the type that has a big vacuum cleaner blower thing) and they will spray pretty much anything. I got reasonable results with filler primer

Had the water pump off yesterday and lost loads of coolant. I've filled the expansion tank and overflow tank but the water level is going down very slowly and the temp sensor is bouncing off the end of the guage one minute and then cold the next. Found the water leak after taking the water pump off for a 2nd time, the housing is cracked been overtightened when was swapped over and cracked by the bolt furthest to the right!
