Right then, thats all as clear as mud! lol whats a good ampage to weld panels, bearing in mind i'm not planning on doing ang chassis repairs?

Right, i'm goona bite the bullet and buy myself a welder, What would be a good one to buy that would be up to the job of welding panels and making repairs, I've been looking at the Clarke gas migs but dont know anything about welders so i'm looking for some advice?

ok, another stupid question for you. What is the differance between a mig welder with gas and a gasless one, i'm assuming with gas is better isn't it? "I know nothing!!!"

Is their any perticuler mig i should be looking at, ampage wise i mean, whats a decent one for welding panels? sorry if it's a stoopid question?

Thanks for the comments guys, They have helped to restore my faith lol. i'm not sure i would be confident with a welder, I may get brave one day but right now i think it may be beyond my capabilitys plus i have enough to worry about with the running gear at the moment. whats the best way to sort it out, the rust is quite rough, i have painted it with a bit of rust treatment until i know what the best course of action is! with mechanics i'm ok but hopeless with bodywork?

whilst fixing my brakes i noticed when i looked up there was quite a lot of rust under the removable side caps that run just under the rear windows, The rust is running the full lenth of the cap but doesn't seem to have gone through yet. on one side the long clip that the cap hangs on is coming away...
