oil leak looks to be from push rod tubes, yes i have built engines in the past but not a boxer before.

1.9 Dg with 92k on the clock. I have an oil leak and back box joints blowing now and then. I,m willing to drop the lump out and strip down to the bar bones. replace all my seals and gaskets etc and rebuild. tappets are a bit rattley and i'm wondering (a) do i just soak clean and replace tappets (b) ...

Ive checked the cap and there is no switch or wire, my van is a 84 reg. the warning light has the two black wires , the larger being the thick black coming from the handbrake.The other ive not followed yet.

I have just changed a rear wheel slave cylinder and have bled the brake. the fluid was just past the the min mark on the master cylinder and i topped it up and re-bled..all seems good apart from the warning light will not go out when the handbrake is released. the wire hasnt come of the switch on th...

You didn't mention what type of van you have..if its a camper i would then take it has a high top..the roof is sealed along the gutter between the fibre glass and metal gutter. i would put money on the water running down the gutter and getting under it. it then runs down to the front and then gets u...

Hi

I have heard it said about changing the element om the fridges to go from 2way 12v / gas to 240v. how easy is it.is there a drawing to help and are the elements easy to buy..its an electolux fridge from a 84 Breg van

must admit gas is the best opption...but i can run mine when im hooked by having a good battery charger plugged in to the hook up and charging the leisure battery..i do have the amp info but not on me at mo.will repost the current for my fridge with the fridge type incase its the same..the battery c...

HAD A PROBLEM LIKE THAT , JUST SERVICED MY VAN AND FOUND THE COIL LEAD WHERE IT CONNECTS TO THE CAP HAD BURNED AWAY IN SIDE. COULDNT TELL TILL I TOOK THE LEAD OFF. JUST CARBON LEFT ....NEW LEAD AND STARTS EVERY TIME NOW..

Can any body let me know if the use of an oil treatment is anygood. and if mineral oil is better then semi/synthetic. my van is a 1900 dg coded 90k tappety mormaly reliable lump of boxer heaven.

cheers i ment 20/50..might do an engine flush...

had a problem starting the other day wouldn't fire then went with a cloud of black smoke and a back fire...me finks fuel fillters too, abit of water i think..

I have a 1900 dg . 90k on the clock. Abit tapperty now. Thinking about a slightly thicker oil. 20/40. Any thoughts or are there anyone running this at mo/ how have you found it. Cheers

Hello all

Just signed up and have a question if someone could help please. My b reg 1900 dg engined t25 has a worn carb..i can get it re-conned but i'm in two minds to put the webber on it, has anyone done this and have they got any feed back on fuel consumption, power etc Thank you
