Electrics Safety
Evening all, When you first use your electric hook up are there any ways you can test that it is safe and who would you take it to to be services and or checked over!? We plan to get it checked over but I am not sure if a regular garage would do this or of we would need to go to a VW specialist? Tha...

Looks like marsala red but I think my van is a deeper version?? Thanks for th...

I tried to find a VW specialist who could fix her but we had to use the garage recommended by the insurance company. They now can't colour match the the paint!! Insurance Repairs.........
Not sure if anyone can help, some numbnuts scraped my van this weekend, superficial lines from the wing mirror but it has also caused a big dint in the side panel on the wheel arch and the actual bumper. Luckily he owned up so his insurance is going to sort it out, but should I let her go to the reg...

Re: Is it painted over rust??
I was worried that it looked like painted over rust, after looking at a lot of potential vans we are getting to grips with the different levels of rust vans have! We have just had a fair few very long round trips for vans that have descriptions which aren't completely honest - but then that seems li...

Is it painted over rust??
Not sure if the picture will come up - but if it does - is the bobbling effect rust that has been sprayed over? If the picture doesn't work is there a way you can tell if rust has simply been sprayed over? This is advice for the untrained eye! Thanks http://i712.photobucket.com/albums/ww124/gnwautos...

No, both don't offer inspections for vehicles over a certain age - AA is up to 15 years old so I can't use them...
Thanks anyway all.

I had a look at my RAC info and it said they won't check vehicles over 8 years.. Do they offer another inspection for older vehicles? Thanks

Re: Air cooled vs watercooled
Does it make a big difference if it is petrol or diesel in a camper in the same way it does in a car? From what you have all said it doesn't make too much of a difference if you get Aircooled or watercooled in a petrol? Am I right in thinking this?
