Re: Too cold to even do an oil change
I have been in a friends fiat coachbuilt this afternoon rewiring the leisure electrics after the spaghetti control unit/battery charger packed up, its getting a complete Fox modification since the dealers quoted over £800 for a replacement. Had the blown air heater runnong and a 2Kw fan heater, it w...

Hi Damon
You meet need to use a rubbing compound to bring it up. Realise you are a bit far away but I have an excellent electric d/a polisher here if you wish to call round.

Re: unusual driver seat belt question
Before you hack away at anything ...have actually tested if you can still adjust your seat properly and drive? The seat belt thingy might be the least of your problems The man has an excellent point. My advice would be to fit the unit in loosely and see if it affects your driving position. If it do...

Re: Oil light
Hi Tom Should you be concerned? Short answer is I dont know, yet. What needs to be determined is if its a faulty oil light or low oil pressure, although how an engine can take ten minutes to get to oil pressure is one I havent seen so far. You can plug a oil pressure test gauge into the sender unit ...

Re: 12 Volt cigarette lighter socket
Mine is just a socket (no fag lighter). I took it out today. I might just re-wire with 11 amp wire & put a 10 amp fuse in. Though looking through the 12 volt shop website and they have a 20 amp fag lighter for £7. Might go with that with some heavy duty wiring. Might be a good idea, then you co...

Re: 12 Volt cigarette lighter socket
Hi Nesty I thought cigarette lighter sockets were 5 amp, maybe I am thinking of auxillary sockets that do not take fag buttons but are just outlets, but I suggest you check which yours are. If you want to go higher than ten amp many people use round pin plugs like houses used to be fitted with, they...

I would say ours uses about as much as yours and Titus's. it doesnt leak it has excellent compression and the beast runs fine so I can live with it using a bit, as Titus says they are an old design of engine so will use some. Thanks so much for the kind PM and you are very welcome, thats what we are...

Theres a place down near Llanthony that allows fires and is very cheap too, cant remember the name of it but will find out if you want. There another place up near barmouth that allows fires and has a stream running through the site. The ones that allow fires are much rarer now, probably insurance. ...

Yeah that does sound good. I am wondering how to seal the access hatch against weather if you cut a door reveal in the hightop

Re: MOT query for T25
I do apologise Kev perhaps you are right I am thinking of a diesel needing to be taken to the governed speed in order to check emissions. I am also not sure if rear driveshaft gaiters are in the test, I dont have my manual here. Also being out of the trade now I sometimes get mixed up with HGV plati...

A tester has the right to refuse to test a vehicle or conduct any part of the test if in their opinion it would damage the vehicle, test equipment, or compromise the safety of the tester and any assistant. Never said it was part of the test. There are other people who have done the course at Bristol...

Hi Its 34 miles and 1 hour 8 minutes according to my autoroute, and often slower I live in Hereford and have friends in both directions so I know the roads. Its also rather expensive, works out at £16 a night for two people with a hookup. Why is that so called "hippy" or alternative things...
