Right I've now replaced the rusted coolant pipes with stainless and rubber tubing, they are in place but as I've left it so long I've kinda forgot the original positions etc. I'm assuming the flow to the rad is the on the water pump stat housing(stop me if I'm wrong?) but which inlet does that pipe ...

hi guys, as expeted my coolant pipes aint made it through the winter and finally popped the other day, now i can make some out of stainless at work and use the black pipes for the bends but i was wondering if theres a cheap alternative pref something flexy. has any1 used anything else ? cheers in ad...

Hi, anyone got any suggestions of stuff I can leave in my radiator to clean it whilst It's off the van, I will be rad flushing itwhen I put it back on but wanna give it a soak whilst it's off just to make sure. Those seams will get ya, very hard to rust proof once they take hold, guys on here know loads about the seams, but from what I can gather, they need to be raked treated from back and front and sealed again even then it's still hard to kill the rust. Hopefully ya didn't pay too much.

Ok thanks, pump seems fine then goin on that info, the last thing is the radiator, should it be hard to blow through, I blow through one end and it feels a little hard for the air pass through? Is thAt normal or should the blowing be very easy?

how do i tell if me water pump is no good or dying? ive took all of if off to check for blockages, checked the big hoses running from front to back, checked rad and thermostat all good, the pump is the last thing im not sure about, my radiator wasnt getting warm at all. its a 1.6d engine.

not gone as far as gear box oil change, will do that tho(hopefully) when i get it stripped over winter. ill lube it all over too ! must say i aint looked at the bit that goes into the box so thanks for the tip
