Re: Waterjacket seal replacement 1,9dg
you have to take the exhaust off , inlet manifold off and the water pipes off to do the job anyway , it’s only the starter motor and the four bell housing bolts difference . It was when I was replacing the old exhaust with stainless now you come to mention it. Don't recall any manifold or waterpip...

Re: Waterjacket seal replacement 1,9dg
Erm does the engine HAVE to come out? Reason I ask is I had mine replaced a few years back by a fellow member on here and he did it with the engine still in situ. Mine is a 2.1 though so maybe that makes a difference?

Re: Relays under drivers seat
Those should be the only things connecting the starter and leisure batteries together and then only with the ignition on. It should be impossible to run the fridge on 12v without the engine running/ignition on so your kid playing with it shouldn't affect anything unless he physically changed the con...

Re: Relays under drivers seat
Both the split charger and fridge relays will trigger once the engine is running, the split charger effectively connects the starter and leisure batteries together to allow the alternator (which is connected directly to the starter) to charge them both and the fridge relay connects the fridge 12v el...

It's an absorption fridge not a compressor fridge, works off a heating element rather than a motor

Re: Sliding window catch for Autohomes Kamper
Put a small length of wood at the base of the non sliding window so the sliding section can't open as hits the wood as a temporary solution while you scour the four corners of the earth for a new catch

Re: Electrics.....??
Oh and as for the heat damage to the fuse or fuse holder, the fridge pulls about 8A when running on 12v if I remember correctly so if the blade fuse holder connections are loose it will get hot without rupturing the fuse. You could try swapping the cable to a different fuse holder in that fuse bank....

Re: Electrics.....??
There are three sets of connections in the white box on top of the fridge. 12v for electronic gas ignition, 12v for the fridge heating element for use when driving and the 240v for running the fridge when on electric hook up. It is more than likely conected to the 12v element as the electronic ignit...

Re: Zig cf8 not working replacement or repair
Don't forget to check that your earths are sound. Good point Oldie :ok Actually come to think of it if the front cover of the Zig is off and just hanging by the cabling its not earthed to the main casing. That threw me once years ago, I can't remember what difference it made, but it did. It might ...

Re: Zig cf8 not working replacement or repair
There could be multiple issues here, I certainly wouldn't bin the Zig just yet. One step at a time I think. Turn all outgoing circuits off or remove fuses. You are absolutely sure that the battery is fully charged and connected to terminals 3 & 4 of the Zig Unit connector block on the back? If t...
