Carburettor for 1.9DG

At the risk of annoying people for double posting (yesterday in the Wanteds - it's just that you guys are so good :D ) I am looking for a new carb. The arm connecting the cold start choke to the flap (?) is broken and I currently have it wired open. Anyone got one? Or any other suggestions. This for...

Part number for 1988 16" LHD speedo cable?

Hi, can any of you clever folk tell me what this should be before I give GSF a buzz and see if they stock them? Or do you reckon they'll find the right one on their system?

Cheers

Westy Sink Tap won't switch off!

Hi, 1985 Syncro Westfalia Joker I rocked up to a pitch recently having been caught in traffic and fancied a cuppa. Filled up my kettle from the newly cleaned and topped tank and the flipping tap would not switch off leaving me like the little Dutch boy with his finger in the dike trying to stop my v...

Re: Swedish 16" Doka - Headlights Always On

My DOKA is a Swede. The lights are on all the time. I like it that way.

The only down side is when you are greenlaning and you have someone guiding you through a tricky bit. In the gloom of a dark lane the lights can be quite blinding for your spotter.

Re: were retiring!

Simon,

I just googled it - 192 miles. And rather optimistically 3 hours 28 mins.

Haven't been up to Yorkshire since I used to live and work in Leeds. Kinda miss the place.

Ive been having a look into GPS software for Mac.. But it would seem that the only way to run memorymap on a mac would be to use a pc emulator such as Parallels. Since thinking about it a bit more too, im not sure that i would like to subject my mac laptop to the beating it could sustain on board a...

Petrol consumption, awards, dogs and chickens

Thanks for another great Syncro weekend in Devon - great to talk to all of you who know so much about these amazing vehicles. I used 47 L of unleaded on the lanes this weekend (to be clear that excludes getting to and from Devon) and loved every minute of it whilst trying not to think too hard about...
