Re: number plate lights
mot guidelines changed recently adding new criteria to certain areas of the test. From memory on number plate lights you can fail them for facing away from the rear , not working, incomplete, insecure. As for bumper corners its an advise as you can only fail sharp edges caused by damage or corrosion...

Re: jk fuel valve
yeah theres that too. just not sure whether i actually need this pressure valve or not. Main reason i ask is i've got a bit of a flat spot on acceleration. I've checked the timing, set the co2 to 2 1/2 % and idle is at about 900rpm, just wondering if its restricting fuel, not tried adjusting it yet,...

Re: jk fuel valve
good point, its a 2.0 cu. the carb before was a weber copy, it didn't have any manufacturer name or markings on it and had been made to fit, not sure what it was off. It is the pressure regulating valve im talking about which is inline after the pump. spoke to my uncle about it and he's never really...

Re: rear quarter side vents
look at you boys pictures and everything, im impressed! they do look similar shape and prob would fit with a bit of trimming. its just the holes, the originals were screwed through the sides and i cant see any relevant holes in the body for the holes in the new ones. bit weird. think i might have to...

Re: Cost of MOT
70 quid for shoes is excessive. I run a garage and use euro car parts for 90% of our parts. I wouldn't expect to pay more than £25 max but thats how we make money, marking up parts. Every garage does it, its just the price of patern parts to the trade are so cheap and the retail prices are stupidly ...
