Hi all,
mine's a converted panel van too, but with no headlining - 'bowesy' mentions a fibre glass one - any ideas where to get one or info on alternatives?

Re: Is my rad knackered?!
Good skills! I just fitted a new rad, an 80 degree stat, a new rad fan switch and brand new coolant. After fitting the rad it was easier to bleed and the needle now sits bang on the 'LED' or maybe even slightly to the cooler side of half way :D For the record my old rad was about twice as heavy as t...

Re: Blocked rad???
FYI, after a flush the rad was still grotty, and once removed found to be pretty poor. 24 hours later and a new rad from Brickwerks was fitted. Same size as the old but SO much lighter - I'm wondering if the weight difference is sediment plus radweld! Anyway, all bled through and 'burped' after a 25...

Re: Blocked rad???

Re: Blocked rad???
Cheers chap, I was thinking of buying a rad to get it here for the weekend, with a long trip looming and this being the only bit of the cooling system not replaced, plus the forums say at nearly 30 yrs old the originals are probably quite gummed up, but I'll try the removal and flush tonight. thanks...

Re: Blocked rad???
Hi ghost, sorry, to clarify: once all reconnected, I can only get 4 - 5 litres of coolant back in, after thorough bleeding etc so either there's a blockafe, a furred up rad, or I didn't get all the coolant out in the first place. On the rad there are two hoses both bottom left corner looking at the ...

Blocked rad???
Hi all, the cooling on my 1.9D 1Y has always been a bit 'suspect'. Years ago the engine in it when I bought the bus let go, so I sourced a newer 1Y. Since then I've upgraded the pipes to silicon, new water pump and drive belt, new thermostat (and just put in an 80 degree one). Last weekend while doi...

1Y Diesel - how much oil with filter change?
Hi all, hopefully an easy question - My workshop manual says 4l of oil, Brickwerks info page says 4.5l in a 1Y 1.9 diesel.... now I'm 99.9% sure that good old Brickwerks no their stuff (or more, as they are the nutz when it comes to T3 parts and info)! but just wanted to check what anyone else does?...

Re: FASP seat swivel
Cheers for the info hotpot - yes I was going round in circles for a while!! I've bitten the bullet and decided to go without the luxury of sliders. I'll drill through the spot welds, remove them and then bolt the swivel base to the bus, and drill it to allow me to bolt it to the seat also. Not ideal...

FASP seat swivel
Hi guys,
bought a FASP seat swivel for my T25, and have removed the passenger seat. Am now puzzled and wondered if anyone has any fitting insturctions? Would like to retain the sliding adjustment if possible....
Thanks in advance

Re: 1y 1.9D engine sump
Thanks for all the help guys. The engine is in with all the relevantparts swapped. :D Mind you the new 'ibiza' engine has a longer dipstick tube, but goes into the changed sump much less than the old one. Any ideas on oil capacity to use? Also do the dipstick tubes unscrew? Nearly there now, soon MO...
