Thanks all, I'll see what I can find out of the above. Rachet straps are a good idea.

Looking round the roof, i see the sealant isn't in a great state in the side roof sills either, but I'll see how it goes with the rear first.

I have an 86 Leisuredrive High Top , and the sealant on the rear of the roof has come off. So there is a 1cm gap between the high-top and the original van roof. What can I use to seal this back up? I think I'll also have to put some kind of weight on top while it sets, because the top comes away fro...
