Recomendations for a welder please.
I am in need of a recomendation for a top quality body shop to restore my beetle i have had since 1971. It is part of the family and I want a show winning job done on the welding and respray.
Can anyone recomend a place in the West Midlands area please.

I don't know why you're that enthusiastic to charge the starter battery anyway as the alternator charges it when you drive anywhere. Unless you're planning on laying the van up for the winter months - but I believe the manual states not to leave the Zig charger on continuously. I suppose its becaus...

Sorry, gave you a bum steer there. It only charges the leisure battery, the cabling to the starter battery and the 'car' or 'touring' switch position is to allow you to run the camper electrics off the starter battery rather than the leisure battery but does not facilitate charging of the starter b...

Thanks, i have tried that but when i put a meter on the leisure battery clips it reads over 12v which is correct, but then when i switch the middle switch i dont get anything at the car battery terminal clips.

Hi, I have installed a Zig CF8 for 240 and 12v power, all as per manutfacturers instructions. What i note is that when i have the manis pluged in the leisure battery is charging but not the car battery. Found it and job done, but i need a new nipple or caliper as one was already bost off on the front drivers small square pad type.
I think the wasger bottle refil is in the passanger footwell???????? Not sure though

At last they are thanks to a top local windscreen fitter.
He had trouble but after 2 1/2 hours, job done.

I have just purchased a set of square headlights and grill off EBay, only to find the adjusting screws and mounts for the main lights are missing or broken.
