Replacing high top with pop top - anyone done it?

We've got a rather battered Leisuredrive high top on Bluebell at the mo. We're thinking of some moderate pimping and have considered going for one of those westie-a-like poptops they're flogging on justkampers. Any boffins out there able to advise whether this is an impossible pipe dream, bearing in...

Black mould in pop top roof of F reg Westie

Hi folks. Can any Westie owners out there recommend a way of cleaning off the black mould that forms in the pop tops of Westies? A mate has got one and is at a bit of a loss as to how to get rid of it without killing the environment.

Switching interior lights betwn hook-up and leisure battery

Please forgive ignorance - I'm not a sparky (more of a 'gluggy' really). We want to set up our interior lights so that we can switch between hook-up and leisure battery, depending on whether we're posh camping or not. I'd also like to do that thing where the leisure battery gets charged up as you're...

Cheapo battery lights in B&Q

Folks They've got some nifty little lights in B&Q for about £5 each (discount if you but 5 I think). They're Osram 'Dot-it lights - really bright LEDs powered by 3 AAA batteries - you just push the clear bit and it lights up. They've also got self adhesive pads on the back if you want to risk yo...

We kind of inherited the name with the van, but not from your friends, I think. It's a strange name for a white van, but there you go :? Re the catches, they're Reimo too and they're the round catches, not the square ones like in your picture, Hakuna M... They've got a picture on the Reimo webpage - ...

Leisuredrive (?) Door Handles

We're sprucing up the Bloob and are fitting those nifty Reimo push-in knobs in the JK catalogue. Does anyone want the old ones as spares etc? We're pretty sure that Bloob is a Leisuredrive conversion - the handles are round grey/blue plastic and are about 3 inches across. Some are in better conditio...

I reckon you might be able to use the same trick as I did for our new buddy seat - i.e. get a length of square u section aluminium from B&Q, chop 2 lengths, screw one length to the back of your unit, then screw the other length, the other way up, to the back of your bulkhead (or wherever you're ...

We've made up the seat and have fixed it in the van today. In the end we just bought a length of square u-section aluminium from B&Q, chopped it in 2 and screwed one piece to the back of the seat and the other half the other way up to the bulkheaf behind the passenger seat - worked a treat! Hoor...

Another question

How does the buddy seat fix in place? Or is it free-floating?

Buddy Seat dimensions

Could I have the dimensions too please? My arms just aren't long enough to reach our table from the passenger seat even when it's turned round ;-)

Getting the lid on the cooker and sink to stay up

Bluebell is (we think) a Leisuredrive conversion. The lids on the cooker and sink are a bit tired and we want to fit a new worktop. Any ideas for making the darn thing stay up while you're cooking/washing up? Our current solution is a bit too Heath Robinson. An ideas? Any handy little fittings we ca...
