Hi Mate, i was a windscreen fitter and manager and area manager for autoglass among other windscreen companies. If you are having the screen out to have the van painted, kick it out yourself. Use a flat screw driver to peel the seal back in the top right or left corner and with your size ten boot on...

Thanks Steve and Blunderbuss.....it would appear that sussex windscreens havent got the mechanism but Matt there was very helpful and has given me some pointers on how to possibly repair the roof. Hi guys I have an original factory fitted wind back sunroof in my bus. its about 900 wide and 1200 long. the mechanism is broken and vw England tells me the compooter sez no...no parts available. Any suggestions as to where i might get a second hand mechanism?? any scrappers out there?? or any other...
