Re: Front axle securing pinch nut

I got mine from a Mercedes dealer cost was about £6 each I then got some Allen key bolts. To order the parts from Mercedes you will need a registration number of a 1980s, Mercedes, SL, I just looked on eBay for an 80s, Mercedes SL and wrote down the registration number. The only way you can order M...

Re: More Fuel Pipe Issues.

It's not a bad batch. Not faulty, just fake! Your reputable source has been buying from less reputable sources. Make sure you give them some grief about it, they've saved a few quid and your van could very well have gone on fire. Making fuel hose that doesn't fall apart after a few months is a trie...

Re: Speedometer, fuel gauge, temp gauge not working

Drop fuse box, locate earth crowns, have fun I went through my entire wiring last year. Old copper and degrading crimps you will find with connections breaking in your hands. Aidens post above is spot on. Speedo is a worm cable - mechanical. My money is on worn copper tracks on the blue pcb where it...

Postage is rapid considering items come from China but some items come from a UK depot. i got some mini spirit levels in my van for pennies. The search function is not the best and...

Re: Replacing the Westfalia ‘BBB’ charger

If you are replacing because it is broken it is 99.99% due to thermal fuse inside.

Easy to test and easy to replace.

I actually started a small job fixing these and selling them for silly money when i lived in Gemany.

Re: flickering battery light / replace regulator?

Just go through the connections in the engine bay take them off wire brush and put back and grease them. Same for all earths too. The regulator seems fine if running with headlights on - just turn the blower on to see ot drop. Best measure with all accessories off. I use a USB charger to replace the...
