Anyone had experience of these?

Look quite similar to the ARB but like the idea of 3 metres long so it can go past / forward of side door.

Re: TDI INTO PICK-UP
Out of interest, what are the options in the uk for adaptor plates?
To go from petrol to diesel is it the easier more cost effective route to take?
Also prefer the idea of keeping the engine upright.

Re: Larger tyres on 18s?
Mine are rated to 98 which I believe are rated high enough.
Wouldn't go any lower for a camper though.

Re: 18" wheels , what size tyres ?
I have exactly the same dilemma. My vans not lowered would like to fit 235/50 R18 on my Merc rims aiming for the ridding high look! But everything looks a bit too tight for clearance, so might go for 235/45 all round. Any recommendations on tyre make?

Re: 18 inch tyre recommendations
Hi Jim. Fitted stud conversion on front, longer studs at the back (had a job to find any long enough, got some for a bay window in the end) and 10mm spacers all round. Very close at front to the top wishbone - took a chunk out of one of the front wheels when hitting a pothole so now fitted some extr...

Re: 18 inch tyre recommendations
image.jpg The camper is standard hight. Bought the wheels of eBay and the back tyres were too good to bin! The fronts however have started to crack a bit on the sidewall. They are too low profile really and border line for weight limit. Fancied going for the up in the air look! Do you think the 235...

18 inch tyre recommendations
Hi, running 8 x 18 inch Mercedes alloys, but not really happy with the tyres. Does anyone run 235/50 or am I asking for too much sidewall! Should I play it safe and go for 235/45? Any recommendations - what are people running?

Re: Austop low profile elevating roof
Have you seen any pics? Interested myself, not to keen on my holdsworth pop top although I might miss the solid sides. Be interesting to see some pics.
(Ps. Just sent you pm asking for a copy of your gti engine conversion instructions! Another project!)

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Hi, I'm after some Marsala Red, code H3D I believe? Tried Avenue coatings and have been told their computer doesn't recognise the code so they can't mix. Any ideas or should I just go for RAL3003, looks close! Great thread by the way!

Re: Woodhall Spa Campsite
Petwood caravan & campsite very nice, right nextdoor to jubilee site (which is cheaper but wash facilities not as nice). Short walk to pool & town centre + kinema in the woods (nice Italian restaurant nearby). Also good cycle route to horncastle on old railway route. Local get away for us!
