Can anyone help identifying the paint code colour of my 1988 t25
Hi,
I’m looking to do some touch up work on my van but just can’t find the colour code anywhere. Does anyone recognise the colour?
It’s a 1988 t25.
Any pointers appreciated.
Cheers
Pete

Re: Coolant leaks from head gasket - mechanic needed
Hi all, Thanks o much for your advice / feedback. The engines only done £30k miles but it was installed around 20 years ago. The leak is fairly minor( I don't have to routinely top-up the coolant). Following threads here and on theSamba.com I'm going to add some radweld and see how it goes. Thanks ...

Coolant leaks from head gasket - mechanic needed
Hi, I'm certainly no expert but I've been reliable informed that the pink powdery deposits around gaskets on the underside of my 1.9 ltr wc petrol T25 are signs of coolant leakage and the engine will need stripping and the gaskets replaced. Its a recon engine that has done 30k miles. Does anyone kno...

Re: Where can I buy New full size wheel trims
Thanks for the responses . Are you saying these lidl wheel trims will fit? https://www.aldi.co.uk/silver-14%22-wheel-trims-4-pack/p/802219426443200 (I won't hold you to it by the way but are these the ones or similar to the ones you've used?) My problem is I ordered a set of 14" online and...

Re: Replacing the temperature sensor T25 1.9 petrol
Hi todays been the first chance i've had to follow up on this. So the sensor with the boot removed is black. The connection has around 10.2V on it and if I short across the two wires the temp gauge in the van goes fully to the right. So I think this is the right sensor? I think this is a suitable re...

Re: Vw t25 1984 fuel tank problem
Hi, I have the same problem with the tank overflowing when I fill it up. I've lived with it for several years now - I just don't fill the tank. I don't get any strong smell of petrol. My problem is I'm off on a big tour of France doing around 3000 miles and I've spent a lot of money over the last fe...

Re: Replacing the temperature sensor T25 1.9 petrol
Wow - thanks so much for the response.
I'll take another look later in the week - hopefully I'm getting 10V at the temp sensor.
Can i just check that I don't need to drain the system(coolant) to replace the sensor?
Thanks again
Pete

Replacing the temperature sensor T25 1.9 petrol
Hi , I'm sure this must have been covered elsewhere but I can't find it. I've spent the day tracing several electrical faults on my 1988 1.9 litre petrol T25 (watercooled). The temp gauge isn't working but I have shorted pins on relay 43 to prove the gauge is ok and have measured 10volts on the sing...

Re: T25 Sliding door window keeps splintering
Wow Thanks for all the feedback - really appreciated. So this is the second window thats split with almost an identical pattern. From your comments it seems that this window is possibly just standard glass and what i need is reinforced glass, cut correctly to size and check thereare no sharp edges o...
