Moving the handbreak lever to somewhere more convenient

Has anyone considered moving their handbrake before?

My icebox would fit snuggly between the cab seats if it weren't for the handbrake. Can they be moved relatively cheaply?

Cold can of beer for anyone that helps!

Ta muchly,

Re: When good engines go bad.. Is there anyone to turn to?

If the failure can be proven to be negligence ie: gudgeon circlip adrift, then it is possible he may consider a warranty repair. Thanks Martin.. I was assured that the components I was paying for would be suitable to handle the extra power of the engine. I've certainly not been over-revving as I se...

Re: When good engines go bad.. Is there anyone to turn to?

Aye, I spoke with the vendor at the weekend and he is happy for my local mechanic to open her up.

Just trying to get all my options in order for when I have to phone him back. I'm not the most assertive person when it comes to mechanics.

When good engines go bad.. Is there anyone to turn to?

Hi, I have a bit of a problem. A year ago I purchased a new engine for my air cooled. I decided upon a modified engine which I was told would increase the BHP up to around 110 plus increased torque. Engine cost me £2,500. Taking my old engine out and putting new one in came to £1,500. I managed arou...

These bits are available from Jim Calvert at Stateside Tuning, the carbs are best got from Alfa1750 who trades on Ebay from Italy. Just do a search for Dellorto carbs. Tell him what size engine, and he sets them up and balances them for you on a factory original syncrometer - excellent!! Thanks for...

Tantalisingly close!!!

What I'm really looking for is two single hob units, measuring 250mm x 200mm at most.

Maybe it's time to try out a raw food diet.

to be honest I can't see you putting a gas ring anywhere on that which won't spoil the look of the unit, it's quality work and I can see the thought thats gone into it but you have made the sink a focal point so anything to the left or right will upset the design. No worries about spoiling the look...

Bespoke gas hobs - any advice?

We've managed to build a nice looking cheese-wedge as the main cooking area in our van. But we can't find any ready-made units that will fit it. :D Can anyone recommend a gas fitter / metal worker that might be able to help?
