Re: Advice..240v elects. Non VW

Sounds like old continental 3 phase, brown L1, Black L2, Blue L3.
I've installed a couple of Italian tyre changing machines with those colours.

LED PIR Lights

We buy our led gu10's from Denmans, the smd 4w flood ones are exactly the same size and give a really good spread of light.
I buy "a lot" of these and have only had one fail so far and at £6.25 + vat each there good value too.
Forgot to say there Eterna branded ones.

Re: westy "fridge on gas" light on when gas not on

Our florida does this, I think there is a damaged cable as mine started when doing some other wiring. I've disconnected ours for now as time is short but I'm just going to run more cable from the fridge to the panel when I've got time. I would suggest you trace the cables from the fridge to the pane...

My votes with the kyham too, ours has put up with some serious downpours and gale force winds without any problems.

Yes but just think of the hours of fun you miss out on playing "fish the gugeon pin circlip out of the crankcase with a magnet on a stick"

Try searching on eBay for a tube of "the right stuff" I used it when I did mine with no problems, our American cousins seem to love it.

Re: A wiring puzzle

A quick and easy way to narrow down the problem is to run an extension lead out from the house and plug the fridge into that , if the house rcd trips it's your 240v element breaking down If it doesn't it's your internal 230v wiring. It's a common electrical problem with old elements, kettles, irons ...

sprung loaded quality pushrod tubes

When you say "running for 40 mins" did you take it for a drive or just run the engine stationary ?
I've found that Tappetts only seem to pump up when driving .

my new camper - suspected hgf

Depends if the previous owners's did any coolant changes ;)
Some plus gas , heat and an air or battery impact wrench helps with the head studs too.
Good luck.

Re: 1987 1.9 T25 watercooled temp gauge

if the temp senders been replaced by one from GSF then thats your problem. They have too high a resistance from cold so make the gauge read higher than it should, measured a few with my ohmeter and they all read about 8 or 9 ohms more than the original(leaking) one that i had. i tried a few before i ...
