We've got one of these and its great - goes up quickly and loads of space. The one thing I would recommend is to get the optional tube & clamp fitting to attach the awning to the gutter of your van, as i found the figure 8 connectors blew off in high winds.

Re: Sliding window seal
Hi there,
not quite sure which seal you need to replace, but if you phone seals direct they will send you out a small sample foc so that you can check for fit.
Good luck

Re: tudor webasto sunroof
Hi
after trying quite a few places I eventually got a new seal for my sunroof from Bristol Sunroof Centre who seem to know their stuff and also gave me some useful hints for fitting it. Give them a try 01179728383.

Re: Aerial
I bought a Brickwerks one but then didn't fancy drilling my newly spayed bodywork. I've now got an aerial that sticks to the inside of the windscreen - 2 very thin wires and a booster and works really well. It's a Blaupunkt funline antenna - I think it was about £30 so more expensive than a standard...

Re: new alloys for t25 without adapters
I've heard some advice that longer rear studs are also needed - is that right or are the original rear studs long enough to get the nut on with the carat alloys?Titus A Duxass wrote:look for VW carat alloys.
Rob on here had set up for grabs.
they go straight on and only need different nuts/bolts.

Hi I replaced the seals on mine (original sliders in standard van) a couple of years ago using FWR148 seal from Seals Direct, its a flocked rubber http://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/bbCMS/shopping.asp?intDepartmentId=4#30 If you give them a ring they'll post you a sample so you can check if this will fit ...

Re: Fitting Gauges
My temp gauge on my 88 DG is erratic so I bought a VDO temp gauge and sender from JK. My local garage cut the sender into the metal water pipe in the engine bay - not sure how wise that was but the gauge sits at a constant temp once the stat has opened, so hopefully I'll get reliable warning of any...

Is it the felt channel you're after? I got mine from Seals Direct and they'll send you a sample next day if you ring them. Product code FWR 148. http://www.sealsplusdirect.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; MIne is a standard van with factory fitted windows, but they may ...

Re: Thermo mats
Just got back from Roundhill (on RAC transporter but that's a different story). A bit annoying having to pay extra for not being a caravan club member, but other than that it was great - pitch up where you like, great showers, no sign of a warden telling people what to do, peace & quiet and poni...

Re: New fuel pump on a DG engine
Having been transported home by RAC yesterday,I got one from GSF and fitted it to my DG this morning (before I read this post). The bloke at GSF said they had some problems with the one they used to stock. The inlet pipe is in a different position but I could still connect the fuel line around the v...

Thanks for the tip. Can I re-use the level sensor, or do I need to get a new one?

Expansion tank split
My expansion tank has a split starting to appear running between the dalek cap & the level sensor, leaking a small amount of coolant. This is a 1988 1.9DG. It looks quite easy to get a replacement from GSF and fit it - but are there any tricks or tips I need to know? I also need to replace my ra...
