To be pedantic, the fluorescent lights i've ever seen in campers are all cold-cathode types.

ccfl - yeh if you look at the bottom of my last post theres a link some some very cheap ccfl's on ebuyer.com + these same devices are stocked by many other companies (not relating to computers). but for about 3-4 times the price.

Thanks for the quick reply, although i'd love to go for a full chrome set i just dont have the funds. I'm gonna have to go for steel spacers (10mm = £12) and chrome bolts/studs. No drilling whatsoever requires or adjustments to the rear hubs?

Ah yeh ive yet to master the skill of driving behind myself, so i'll have to ask a friend to do so for me. Ive pulled the throttle cable whilst standing at the back of the van before and dont get any smoke.

hi, i have a related problem. Ive had my van for about 5months driven a few thousand miles and its never given me trouble thats not my own fault (lack of fuel!) It does seem to use a lot of oil though, ive used x2 containers of the stuff. My engine is not smokey ..ever .. and ive never found any oil...
