Re: Low voltage cutoff module(what voltage to set it to)
I need to replace my leisure battery and at the same time I will change the split charge relay to the lucas SRB630. I am thinking of fitting a LVD off fleabay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-battery-low-voltage-disconnect-cut-off-protector-/282407561895?var=&hash=item41c0cd6aa7:m:mEzDdfBXIFODhW2cm...

http://i404.photobucket.com/albums/pp125/boyofabeach/voltage_zps09ac0a1b.jpg Thanks Oldiebut goodie. I think possibly 80% capacity but not able to supply the amps so voltage dips. New battery over the winter when I install the cabling & controller for my 100w panel. Sent from my STV100-4 using ...

Thanks CovKid, thought that could be the case.CovKid wrote:Does sound as though its in its final throes. It may have the voltage but not the amps any more.

Leisure battery voltage drops on load
Does this voltage drop seem excessive? This evening the LB was reading 12.4v, when I ran the Propex blow heater for 5mins or so the voltage dropped to 11.9v straight away. When the Pro stopped, the voltage went back up to 12.3v. I have my suspicions about the LB as it has drained a couple of times a...

Hi Clift_d, I would be very interested in theJX manual too. Be much appreciated.clift_d wrote:Sounds like you need the JX service manual - you have a PM.

Re: Intermittent starter problem
I had a similar problem, you can see my post. Basically I ended up snipping the spade crimp off, re-crimp and rubber sleeve to slide back over the metal crimp. Much better connection and starter motor turns every time. Good luck.

Re: Sliding Door Press Stud
Hi Mark S, mine didn't have the pin switch on the pillar either. How did you get a wire up or down the pillar? Not sure if that makes sense.... Thanks Pat

Re: Starter motor - intermittent spin/disengage
kevtherev - if you know and have experience of these sort of faults, the time and tools to get into tight spaces then yes you could kick yourself. You may have much more knowledge and experience than most. Many posts don't provide the end solution which I wanted to post for the next person who is se...

Re: Starter motor - intermittent spin/disengage
It turns out to be a badly corroded spade crimp and less than tight fit onto the ignition switch terminal on the starter solenoid. I think this was the fault all along and didn't need the starter motor replacing. Just my luck!

Re: Starter motor - intermittent spin/disengage
Point 4 - the volt drop measurement ideally needs to be done while someone else tries to start it i.e. when engine cold so the greatest current draw. Will have to see if my multimeter will be quick enough to read for the brief moment trying to start

Re: Starter motor - intermittent spin/disengage
Thanks for your replies. I just popped into my local garage who are VW enthusiasts and I now have a couple of pointers to check out. 1. to prove/disprove the earth ground strap - use jump lead from negative terminal on starter to good ground or - batt terminal 2. check the condition of the spade cri...

Starter motor - intermittent spin/disengage
A bit of advise please I had the starter motor replaced as it was getting intermittent and eventually stopped spinning after a couple of taps on the solenoid. The starter motor was actually replaced 5 years ago so I was disappointed the AA diagnosed this. Anyway, it was changed and all well for a we...

Seen these nuts and others, thanks.
Appreciate outside the nuts any other measures would be wasted by public forum.

Fiamma F45S Awning Theft Security
Just fitted a F45S and it dawned on me that they're not the most secure with regard to theft.
Anyone had the unfortunate experience of theirs being nicked or what security measures have you done?
I've considered tamper proof nuts.
