Thanks big herb! Kinda knew it may not be the greatest idea! just wanted to have a fully stainless system so I never would have to change it again, a lot of cash for steel

Hi there, So I put the van in for MOT and failed on a few things : ( one of which I knew about is the exhaust, numerous holes where the tubes meet the back box, shame as the heat exchangers are in good nick until that point. Fixed! got the local garage to weld the part back together for me, back up and running! : )

Its the clutch pedal end.
the section arm that links the pedal to the ball on the clutch cable,
can't see one on Just Kampers. Its a 1980 1600ct, converted to a 2.0cu.

Cable connector to Clutch pedal broken, replacement??
Hi there,
Can anyone point me in the right direction.
The part which holds and connects the clutch cable and then connects to the clutch pedal has snapped on the way home tonight and can't seem to find a replacement
Grateful for any help : (

Thanks for your help folks,
Just read these but already managed to get the lever arms off and swap them over, last thing was to put the spring back around the lever arm and it snapped in half
Gonna check online now for a replacement, fingers crossed!

CT to CU - clutch cable to hydraulic, what to do?
Hi there
I am swapping my CT for a CU, just got new gearbox but what is the best thing to do regarding the clutch cable as this one is hydraulic?
Any help appreciated!
ps, I still have the CT gearbox too which is in perfect working order...

Dude, you can buy a cigarette lighter socket on crocodile clips that will simply attach to the battery behind your seat and will only work when you plug something into it ie sat nav / ipod charger. I got the same in my old beetle a few weeks ago. I got one from a local car parts place for £ 3.50. Ho...

Thanks for the reply, yeah checked the selector cable - adjusted it and got it to drive for a forward a little bit in a ll drives then back to square one. jacked up the rear and the gears run but drop it back down and it wont move.
Time for a new gearbox. Balls.

Ive got a 1.9 Caravelle 3 speed auto, Been reversed out of driveway and now will not move forward in any of the d,d2 or d1. Reverse still works.
