I've just had the cambelt go on my TDi - play in the intermediate shaft, moving in and out. As the pulley is driven by the back of the belt it just wore the belt out and it eventually let go.

Its a KKK which is a start - perhaps its part of the casting - have a look for KKK K14 somewhere - if its the SB engine code then I'm pretty sure its a K14 Can be put together without a turbo but wont be great, will be flat as a fart...
