Thanks ghost, don't supose anybody local to ormskirk/burscough/southport area could take a look and make sure it's bled up ok is there?

Thanks guys, new engine is in and up and running, seems fine so far, have bled up from the thermostat bleeder but have tried from the radiator bleeder also but while the van is flat no water has come out, does the rear of the van need to be jacked up for this?

Has anybody or can anybody fit a linear actuator to a side elevating roof thus getting rod of the gas strutts? Can this be done?? What ya thinkin?? :ok

Next question.. What to use for headliner

At the mo the headliner in the front is whte and perforated , now I'm guessing this is for condensation reasons and the thin vinyl I thought of buying from the range, will just sweat.?
Any ideas would be great full. Cheers fella's

Done today, it was the regulator and the bearings where cronked, I think the electrics could to with a good going over to be fair! But the local auto electrician is crap an expensive!! Any one no of a good mobile one in the southport area?

My mate works at burscough rewinds in burscough so he is going to replace bearings tomorrow! £50, will have it done tomorrow! So fingers crossed that's what it is, cheers pal!!

Yer it's too hot to put your bare hand on, I tightened up the fan belt before an I had to put a glove on! It was HHHOT'! What could be the cause do you think ?

Alternator issue or not?

I have a 1986 1.9 dg and I've found even on short distances the alternator gets really hot, now I'm off on a 125mile drive on Friday, would you guys say I'm going to get in a bit of bother with this or is this just the Vw way? Thanks!

I've just got back from the camper shak in burscough about renewing my roof bellows and he has informed me that it will need a trim to be fitted to the roof for the bellows to be attached, at the moment it's ju's siliconed and he said it shouldnt be! You guys any ideas what is the correct fitment to...
