Yeah
but like I say there was a fair bit of warping on the u-shaped arm and the joints etc looked like they were on their way out... I'm still tempted to get spare barings anyway and use this for spring/nut and housing parts

Re: Sliding door, just fell off.
Thanks folks. After further inspection there was a lot of wear on the other two 'guide' rollers, one cracked and one rusted shut + I think the ushaped part has warped a little as well. Found a good deal for 75 inc. postage on a part that looks barely used. Got some other bits and bobs I need too so ...

Sliding door, just fell off.
Luckily it was on the drive, could have been very costly had it been 100 miles from home. One of the bearing parts was completely shagged - rusted and gave way - the wheel bearing part of the spring mechanism that keeps the door in place along the runner on the shelf attached to the rear panel. I've...

Chrome Bumper Kits (inc. end caps)
I'm looking to replace some very old/dated looking bumpers with Chrome to match the hubs - but I don't see anyone selling end caps in anything other than black plastic... Not a huge fan of these - mostly very cheap looking.

Re: (reputable) Mechanics in Derby
Chris did an engine swap/rebuild on one of my old Caravelles and was very good. Tell him Paul said hello :) Chris and his team (pushes out to specialists for electrics carbs etc) have done a great job so far. New carb + pump, minor service, replacement wiring (was getting drain on both batteries du...

Yeah I called them - they don't really work on T25s. Too busy on Bays/Splitties, which is fair enough. I'm hoping this fella is the business - sounded great. MOT booked next week + some work on the clutch/gearbox.

(reputable) Mechanics in Derby
Hi folks.
Anyone know of any mechanics for servicing/repairs in Derby and surrounding area? I know a fella near Lougborough (burton on wold) but the trip is really time consuming so looking for something more local if you might be able to help?
1985 1.9 Watercooled.

Re: HT lead order?
Looking from above the leads on the left side go straight to the nearest plugs and the ones on the right cross over  Check your cap and rotor arm are seated properly :ok Ian Yeah. Did that - wasn't the issue. Was wear on the Dist Cap itself and my paranoia in lead order brought me here. Repla...

Re: HT lead order?
It was the distributor cap - as I thought, but also the idle screw needed a tweak (flat spot issue). Had a 30 minute run and so far so good.
