bump and how does it work at cold temps, does it have an enrichment, "choke like" device in the system, mine ticks over very nice from stone cold, but the carbs have countless valves, heaters, chokes, sensors, solanoids etc to get smooth running at all temps and loads... Insatiable curiosi...

I hope so in this case, or summat needs adjusting !! Will just let it run out and note millage at that poin...

@ scooterdoc

Best not to use oil or grease on the bolts as they get that hot it will carbonise and likely make it worse than if you hadn't bothered.

I use copperslip allot, but actually I am not sure if that is exhaust heat proof ? - off for a Google on it :)

Euan said = "Another thing to think about is what happens to unburnt gas that might escape while changing bottles or failing to light the fridge. It's heavier than air and shouldn't be alowed to spread across the floor or collect in a low point." Big deal in narrow boats, (well all boats ...

Plus gas all bolts a few times before starting, waiting for it to soak in. Start by slackening each bolt less than a quarter of a turn ( it's called "cracking them" in the trade) whilst the system is still warm, then remove by undoing half a turn and then doing it up again, then a whole tu...

Have you seen those airtight bags that you stuff things like quilts in, then use an airbed pump to suck out all the air ?

I guess a feather quilt would shrink down right small with one of those :)

(wanders off to fleaBay to check it out... )

Yup I got done ( gassed that is ) - ( errr LPG converted that is ) yesterday. Very good service from Gasure - I was about to start asking some questions when Steve gave me a "walk-through" of the system, that answered all the questions I had planned to ask :) My camper now runs smoother an...
