If it was just in the carbs, I would say it would normally clear very quickly by just running it. However if it wont run it might be best to get that possibility out of the way by cleaning out the float chamber(s). After that try feeding the carbs with clean fuel from a can just to eliminate that po...

I'm not being awkward, its just that when you say -> 4. not loosing any coolant only gaining air Well that can't be right as the water has had to go somewhere to make room for the air. If it ain't leaking out, then it must be leaking inside the motor. Most garages have a combustion gas sniffer, that...

Re: Leisure batteries

Does anybody out there have any experience In my experience Gel Cell batteries can be used on their side no probs. With regard to deep discharge, there are 2 types, those that are d...

I am not familiar with that particular carb :(

But is it jetted for the VW 1.9 or is it off a "doner vehicle" ?

I ask because when you say "adjust" I wonder if you mean simple adjustments, or actually setting it up with jets etc ?

Having had a "trial lye down" we are going with the head to rear option.

We can watch DVD's / Freeview on the Laptop better from that position and have discovered that cushions piles against the tail gate make a nice "sitting up in bed" position :)

The insulation material behind the fitted side panels is glass wool. There is no chance that this material will ever catch fire. Well thats reassuring :) As I mentioned I cut the hole in the inner panel somewhat larger to leave a clear gap for the pipe so all should be OK. I have just had a thought...

Steve's conversions start from cold on LPG just fine, contrary to what it says on there ?

@ airhead

Do you mean a PC in the van !! ?

The only requirment I found that was pretty essential with the Frewview card for the laptop is USB 2 capability. Tho if you haven't got that, you can get a PCMCIA to USB 2 conterter card - thats what I did.
