Hi VEEDUB,
Very nice job!
Did you rollered the rims with rustoleum also? I plan to paint mines too, but not sure how easy the rollering will be in those crevices. Any tips and tricks welcome!!

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Whooopppe. I remember you were having trouble getting the paint. Least you're sorted. Tried Ebay for Vactan? :D Yeah, now I found a cheap distributor here in Norway (aeo.no, for those norwegians around in the forum) More expensive than in UK, but still not that bad :) From ebay seems they send Vact...

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Hei! Yes, is pretty blue :D Thanks! I think is the most similar to the original color. But I was wondering more if the ammount of paint is enough for my plans :) They said 2.5 L should make the whole van but is better to order a bit extra. So if i paint the roof in white, how much I need then? And f...

Re: 34 PICT carb on DG engine settings??
Great! Thanks! Now it seems all make sense. Hehe. I will do that tomorrow. VW got all confused and got my timing 10 deg btdc with retard vac connected. So that is like 22 deg btdc disconnected!!! Finally I got my money back and will do it my self.
Thank you a lot all you guys!
Cheers!

Re: Paint Your Wagon - with a roller!
Hi!
I am going order now my paint!
RAL 5012 (similiar to LH5G) and i was thinking probably using white for the roof and well, black for the bumpers.
How does this numbers look?
-2.5L RAL 5012 for the whole van exept the roof
-0,75 L for the roof?
-0,25 L bumpers?

Re: 34 PICT carb on DG engine settings??
LOL! Well, i really don't know now either :rofl Everything for me looks like it rotates clockwise, but i don't have a very sharp eye to notice it at full speed :) Tings that make me believe it: -Originally it was indeed a DF engine, which is set at 5ATDC with vac connected (incl. retard vac) and cra...

I was making analogy to this i found in samba:

Also if i rotate the pulley clockwise in 1st gear, the car moves forward... makes sense?

Re: 34 PICT carb on DG engine settings??
Thank you toomanytoys!
But isnt it the other way around? I mean, the picture is showing ~7-8 deg ATDC? Since in clockwise rotation, the TDC mark has already passed the crankcase centerline?

Well done fella. This has been the holy grail for many. :D I Agree I have spent many hours looking for this info.....unfortunately my colour isn't listed, but I recently found out my camper has been resprayed some time in the past and the new colour doesn't match the colour code anyway!!! Re: 34 PICT carb on DG engine settings??
Hello, Sorry again for asking about this. I took a picture of the pulley and how i think more or less should look when i see it with the strobe light, @~850rpm, with idle stabilizing unit plugs plugged together, and vac. pipes connected. http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g369/toporopo/TIMIN...
