Re: Brighton Painting Body Work
This guy did our car for a really reasonable price:
Bodyworx
The Old Warehouse Studio, Mill Rd, Portslade, Brighton, East Sussex BN41 1PD
01273 414183
Not sure if he does campers, but thinking of phoning him myself to see if he can do some work on my van. Maybe worth a call.

Re: Bloody horn!!
Cheers, guys. Thanks for all the replies. Think I'll try the bottom of the steering wheel, I'll take it apart over next few days and have a look. To David Don't think that is the issue, as horn does sound when I cross terminals. However, it sounds crap, so think I may have to adjust the screw anyway...

Re: Bloody horn!!
Hi Micky
Thanks for the reply.
Checked that and it looks fine. It contacts with the ring and the spring tension is good.
Looks like it is something else....
Cheers,
Jason

Bloody horn!!
Hi Wondering if anyone can help. I've searched these forums and the Internet, but can't see anything conclusive (unless I'm totally blind!!). I had to change my ignition switch recently. After I put the steering wheel and parts back together, the horn stopped working. I've got an MOT coming up, so I...

Re: touch u p paint
Hi Ken
I've got a small patch of filler to respray on my van, about 10cm by 10cm.
Do I need to prime over the filler first, or can I just respray using a spray can?
Any recomended primer, as I don't want to have to buy a big tub?
Cheers for any help!!

Re: Slow Starter Motor
I've been reading this thread with interest, as I have been having problems starting my van. It seems to start from cold all the time. But sometimes (once a week perhaps) if I stop for a bit, then try to start, it fails tio start. Sometimes I hear a whirring noise from the starter, sometimes it near...

Fridge Servicing in Brighton/Sussex
Hi all Having problems with my Dometic fridge at the moment. It works off 12v but doesn't seem to work on mains, and the gas doesn't work very well - sometimnes I can't get the flame to light, other times it lights then goes out later. Off to France in the van on Sunday for a couple of weeks so like...

Re: Van revving but no power
Blame the missus. She wanted the van!! And we knew it wouldn't be a cheap hobby. I'm probably selling myself short a bit, as I do endeavour to try to do stuff myself (I'm too tight to pay out willy nilly). For example, I had a overheating cavalier, the fan wasn't working properly, so I decided to tr...

Re: Van revving but no power
Seeing as i'm sh*te at mechanics, and haven't got any tools or facilities, I'd better leave it to the professionals, especially as I need it on the road asap as it's my 2nd car. My dad is a HGV mechanic and I've never even done an oil change on a car before (although I did do one on an armoured pers...

Van revving but no power
Hi All Wondering if anyone can give me any pointers on a problem I may have with my van. I was taking my daughter to school in it the other day. On my return journey, when I went into 4th gear, the revs went straight up, the rev counter went straight to red, but there was hardly any power. I dropped...

Using sockets when not hooked up
Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but if I am not hooked up, can I still use the electrical plugs in my van (to charge my laptop or run an electric heater for example). I was sure I could but now can't, even when the engine is running. I am now wondering if I am imagining the fact that I coul...

Re: windy camping
Just stayed in Kent on weekend where it was pretty windy. When we took our Khyam awning down we saw that 2 poles had snapped. We've had the awning less than a year. Have tried to get new poles from Khyam, but they say that poles aren't in the guarantee and won't give us new ones. :x Still arguing th...

Re: Seat belts for the back seats
I used these:
http://www.quickfitsbs.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Quite expensive, but with 2 infants in the back of my van I wanted peace of mind.
