Re: Gear linkage bush repair kit

The B/W one has gear stick and gearbox linkage parts. The eBay one appears to be just the gear stick parts.

How is your ATF level? I remember another box being stupid with the gearing that turned out to be the ATF...

Re: Auto enthusiastic kick down

As you know Steve I have an auto but have never had this problem with mine. Do you go on the samba? as the yanks have more experience with these auto boxes than we do.

I have never heard of anyone attempting this. Why would you want 7 gears on a 1.9?

Re: Exhaust Recommendations Dorset

I can't recommend any. Google comes up with several in Dorset. But If you intend on keeping your van I suggest investing in a S/S system. There are a few companies that can supply them. I bought mine from JP exhausts. They used to fit them but problems with snapped exhaust bolts means they now only ...

Re: Holdsworth Villa 2 Interior

If you decide to remake your interior, I suggest you look at using Vhoringer ply. It's not cheap but it's very lightweight.

I have a spare 2.1 auto one here you could borrow to test if you pay the postage both ways. But if you are sure it's your ECU that's faulty there's not much point in borrowing it I suppose. (BTW it's not for sale.)

I believe the silicone cover gaskets are better than the cork ones. (According to Ed China anyway)

It could be tappet drain down. A good 5-mile run usually cures it.
